Insurance Rule 26 of Securities & Exchange Commission (Insurance) rules 2002 lays down the requirement for any person working as an insurance agent to attend the foundation course, without which they will not be able to operate as an agent and Insurance Companies shall not execute agency agreement. Under this rule, SECP has accorded approval to PII to offer Foundation Course for Life and Non-Life Insurance Agents, which can be accessed by clicking on the link:

The course has been designed to provide foundation for all persons already working in the Insurance Companies as well as for those who may have recently joined the sales team. Following conclusion of the course the participants are required to pass a one hour exam based on multiple choice and questions requiring short answers with pass percentage of 50%.

On conclusion of the course the participants will have a sound introduction to the basic concepts, principles and practice of insurance business. Successful participants are awarded a certificate.
